My name is Allison and I am the passionate, one woman show behind Midnight Moth Apothecary.

My journey began four years ago with a candle-making kit. What started as a fun experiment quickly turned into an all-consuming love for the craft. I was captivated by the process of making candles from choosing my wax and wick to blending fragrances that complemented one another. What started as a hobby soon became an obsession, and I spent over a year perfecting my craft, testing and mixing different scent profiles until I had products that were truly one-of-a-kind.

I’ve always been fascinated by the science behind fragrance and understanding what makes a candle burn cleanly. This love for both the art and science of scent has become the heart of Midnight Moth Apothecary.

My trip to Scotland in 2024 with my best friend, Jenn, was a huge inspiration for the vibe of my rebrand (see cover photo). Roaming around the Edinburgh Castle, walking the cobblestone streets and stopping into the shops, the foggy mornings and greenery as far as the eye can see. The beauty of Scotland has been imprinted on me.

As I continued to experiment and refine my candle-making skills, I felt inspired to branch out into other home fragrance products. I expanded into room sprays and reed diffusers (coming soon!), adding new layers of scent and ambiance to any room.

Every product I create is a labor of love, designed with intention, and crafted with care. I truly believe in the power of scent to transform a space, evoke memories, and enhance your mood. I’m so excited to share these magical creations with you, and I hope they bring as much joy to your home as they’ve brought to mine.
